One of the most famous symbols from ancient Egypt is the Ankh an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol used in Egypt for art and writing. In hieroglyphic writings, the ankh symbol poses several Egyptian words when next to other hieroglyphs meaning floral bouquet, life and mirror. As a physical object, the ankh represents either life or substances air or water. Coptic Christians adapted it into the crux ansata, a shape with a circular than oval loop and ankh rose cross used by Rosicrucian Order.
